Movie Review
Grade: F
Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus" comes to live under the direction of Julie Taymor, the creator of Broadway's "The Lion King" production. Where Taymor excelled in bringing Disney's children's movie to life, she fails miserably in halfway modernizing Titus. Read the full movie review

Titus is AMAZING, by Brian
December 30, 2003
the person who reviewed this movie is off his rocker. Titus is the best adaptation of Shakespeare I've ever seen. What the reviewer didn't know is that much of Shakespeare (even in play format) utilizes a mix of ancient and modern. The visuals in this movie are FANTASTIC and certainly add to the story itself. For example the imagery (vision) of Titus seeing the angels blowing a trumpet as a lamb is being put to death on the altar - the lamb represented the youngest son of Titus, who he killed. I can't see how anyone who appreciates Shakespeare would give this movie an F. Perhaps the reviewer would rather see Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure.
