December 5, 2003This is a movie that isn't really based on a particular comic book, but it relates to superhero comics in a unique way. As soon as I saw the medieval tapestry on the wall of Mr. Glass's comic shop, I knew that there was influence from Scott McCloud, who participated in an interview on the DVD version. Comic book fans will see something in it that others might not. I'm more fond of this movie than the Sixth Sense, but I can see how the Sixth Sense may be more accessible to a larger audience. Plus, the ending of teh Sixth Sense was ruined for me before I saw it.
