In a sudden burst of energy, the MIR space station is left inactive and the crew dead. Below, on Earth, a mysterious creature enters a Russian Research vessel that was in contact with MIR. And the crew of a sinking ship seeks refuge within. The ship apparently abandoned, all equipment left behind, the only thing that seems logical to the stranded crew is to salvage it for money.
