Movie Review

I think something got lost in translation. I'm pretty sure Hideo Nakata, director of the original "Ringu," was hired to make a scary sequel to the hit 2002 horror movie "The Ring," but... he didn't. In fact, what he did deliver to the powers at Dreamworks was an absolutely terrible comedy of horrors that undoes everything in the previous movie while simultaneously making the audience wish that they themselves were drowning in the bottom of that damn well. Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban is the third installement in the Harry Potter series. The movies are based on J.K.K. Rowling's best selling selling books, which have sold millions of copies if not more world wide. People always say the book is better then the movie and in this case I would have to agree. I have seen the movie twice and both time I found it to be boring and drawn out. I think the director (Alfanso Cuaron) tries to hard in this case and the result is not what many people, I personally am amused or happy by. There is no doubt in my mind that the first two movies are much better then this one. I think part of the reason is because the director was replaced and some of the things we have to come to familiarize ourselves have been changed or have been completely deleted. This particular movie I think would be more enjoyed by preteens mostly because teenagers will the find the subject of "magic" and "fantasy" to childish or the content might be above them in the sense that they can tell fiction from non-fiction.
The special effects I thought were not believable enough. I think preteens would find them interesting, but some of the animals and scenes can be scary for young children. Teenagers will fiqure out that the special effects do not amuse them and find them to be boring. Some scenes were enjoyable while towards the end of the movie you start to get bored. I think parents should leave their teenagers at home and bring the kiddies or preteens for some fun.
The acting was {very} good even though I thought some emotions and action scenes where the actors were exited, scared or happy could have been more rehearsed. I did not feel like I could connect with the character{s} on how they felt or what they were thinking. I like when you can connect with the character{s} because it makes you think about your life and also can make the movie more enjoyable. The cast I thought was well rounded but some efforts could not help bring their spirits and emotions to life.

Thank you enjoy my review,
Sincerely,

this movie was a pile of crap that didnt make sense, I thought the trailer was better than the actual movie. ill give it some credit, the start was good but only the start after the first 20 minutes i couldnt stand watching it anymore and why the hell does the kid call his mom RACHEL i meen its his mom not his sister it was doin my head in. the film had the potential to be as good as the origanal if not better and it could have been but instead it turned out worse than the reamke of the haunting. Samara is a pretty cool ghost but she is hardly seen through out the whole film and when you do see her its only for like two minutes or something. i walked out of the cinema thinking id rather have brought a macdonalds than sit through that pile of crap id have enjoyed it more. but on the plus side side Samaras mother bares a striknig resemblence to micheal jackson.
