Movie Review
Grade: C+
The Village is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2004, but hype can truly destroy a decent film, especially when marketed deceptively. This is M. Night Shyamalan's latest thriller, but suspense is not the name of the game and that may lose many, many viewers. Read the full movie review

The Bigger Picture, by Sarah

I can see the room for displeasure in this film, but dispite the negative media attention around the film, there is something many critics and viewers are failing to address. This film addresses many issues about our society post 9/11. For those who did not enjoy the film I suggest they re-watch the film, viewing it from that lens. M. Night Shyamalan's message about America post 9/11 is more frightening than the marginally scary creatures in the woods. We should all try to think a little deeper than Paris Hilton.
