Movie Review

"Taxi." No, it's not the television show, it's a cheesy action-comedy starring the unlikely duo of Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon. Fallon somehow thought he could make it big when he left "Saturday Night Live," but he must be having doubts after this flop. Full movie review »

Queen Latifah replacing Samy Naceri? Hollywood thinking they can out-do Luc Besson with a bunch of lame SNL bit actors? You watch the trailer and you see that every scene and story element is ripped straight from the French version (which, by the way, is hilarious)? Sad. Hollywood has sunk to a new low.

When I saw the trailer at the movies, I coudln't believe it!!! It's completly ridiculous. They made a stupid american remake of a great film! They copied the story and all of the special effects. They even have the same ending or at least the same scene where the bad guys jump on construction highway! I don't know if they wanted to make fun of the original movie or if they are just idiots! In both cases, I'm greatly disapointed!!

p.s. who the hell wrote that "good movie" comment??? what a retard!!

I have seen the original Taxi movie from France, and I learned with surprise today that Hollywood are doing a remake of it. From what I have seen in the trailer, and a lot of elements are taken from the movies but they made some small changes ( Taxi driven by a woman instead of a man, robbers are women driving BMW instead of a bunch of German guys driving in Mercedes... ) But I guess the reckless driving would be as interesting to see in the street of New York as on the street of Marseille...
