Movie Review
Grade: B-
The latest romantic comedy uses the same formula, a marginally-different plot and some new faces, but Win a Date with Tad Hamilton does a decent job of being halfway entertaining. Though guaranteed to have a sappy and predictable ending - the one here is especially bad - the movie has its moments and a likeable cast. Read the full movie review

A Mediocre Guilty Pleasure, by Meg
July 25, 2007
I enjoyed the film but most of the characters were one dimentional and predictable, emulating the greatest folk tales we've heard all of our lives. It was another one of those the best friend is in love with the girl who falls for the dumb as rocks pretty boy movies that keep getting made and eaten up by the populous. Like a childhood treat, it is one of those guilty pleasures that one must really be in the mood for. On the whole I think I would give the movie a solid C- because what is the use of something if it is only the same as everything else? All they were really doing is trying to copy the past success of Pretty in Pink. Classics never age but kicking a dead horse gets tiring.
