Movie Review
Grade: B
Angelina Jolie stars in Beyond Borders, a movie that was ravaged by critics and ignored by audiences when it was released in the fall of 2003. It is also a movie that is underappreciated, as it is surprisingly pretty good and engaging. Beautiful scenery and strong performances make for a good rental. Read the full movie review

Beyond Borders, by steve hansch
October 25, 2003
"Beyond Borders" contrasts Third World crises against peculiar, old-thinking British sensibilities. When not in famine camps, the lead characters are hanging out in London mansions, lampooning English cultural superiority. But there's little here that reaches out and resonates with an American audience.
Why the producers thought this would be appealing to US movie-goers is beyond comprehension.
