Movie Review

Wait. Leave your brain at the door. No, not for this review - for the new Bruce Willis action movie "Hostage," about a sheriff who is forced to go to drastic measures to save his family. In real-life, his family would die ten times over, but thankfully director Florent Emilio Siri left reality at the doorstep. And no, that's not a good thing. Full movie review »

Hostage was a pretty good movie. I mean i thought all the trouble was already reconized, then the whole " I want the dvd or your family dies" totally surprised me. I thought all the characters played their parts very well. Especially the Mars kid, I don't know about you all but that kid gave me the creeps. He obviously was supposed to act that way, and he did it splendedly. But the actor I think did the best was the little boy Tommy. I mean he is such a young actor and he did that role really well. I think the casting was perfect for the movie, every single one of the actor/actresses fit their part great. I think everybody should see the movie. It was really well wrote and produced.

Whoever wrote this review should really look at the comments made by other people. You were saying that the movie had so many holes it was laughable, well so did your review. If you were paying attention to the movie you would have noticed that Bruce Willis wasn't taken hostage, his family was. And I would also like to ask you what you mean by his family should have died ten times over. The "smart" criminals needed Bruce Willis to get the movies so they wouldn't have killed his family, they would have been screwed. However I do agree with your comment on the part were Kevin was thrown over the railing and Dennis thought they shot him. That was stupid. But all in all if you weren't so busy trying to be a dick you would have liked the movie more. I really liked te movie, and by the way Marc it's molotov cocktail not monotov cocktail.

Hostage was an incredible movie ! So I totaly disagree with the negative critic. The characters were psychologicaly very interesting and all had an important role in the movie. The end of the movie is the part I liked the most ! MONOTOV-COKTAIL PARTY WITH MARS eheh. Seriously the emo-gothik style of the ending deeply touched me. Mars is the character I liked the most even if he wasn't very credible. Good job. Go see the movie !

PS - I saw the movie in french and the traduction was good - at least better than starwars...!
