Movie Review

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler together. It was the duo we never thought we'd see - the multiple Oscar winner who is praised for nearly ever movie he appears in, and the popular comedian that gets ravaged by critics every time. Nevertheless, the two actors from different sides of the track team up in Anger Management and unfortunately do very little to make the movie very entertaining. Full movie review »

In my opinion 2003 was a slow time for some really comedy movies, from actors that usualy are always so entertaining. I could list now, a number of films that had recieved alot of hype but unfortuantly so bad I wound up feeling dread even to go to the cinema the next weekend! Anger Mangagement had alot of hype around it and was on the top ten to see movies for a while. After i saw it, I had to think for a second on whether or not it was a good movie, good comedy, or even entertaining! There was a twist in it that made you think, there was some interesting and funny situations, though most in my opinion were corny. I have never really been a fan of Adam Sandler, for his movies have always been thin and over the top, though Nicholson usualy is very good in his movies and has an old school comedian style. In this movie, however, I actuatly like Sandler and thought Nicholson was basicaly the same as always. It wasnt one of the funniest movies of the year, or decade, though got its point across quickly. Its humor was acceptable, and not too over the top. Considering what a drastic failure most comedy films have been this year, I must say in my opinion that Anger Management was not that bad, in fact very good compared to Nicholson's 'Something's gotta Give' To sum up, check it out sometime and I have faith you wont be very dissapointed if you like either Sandler or Nicholson. I guarantee you'll laugh and if the price comes down low enough you might even want to buy it!
