Grade: B The subject of pedophilia is a controversial one, but what about a movie whose lead character is such a criminal? Few movies are able to show compassion for monsters without passing judgment, but "The Woodsman" is such a film, and thanks to one of the finest performances ever by Kevin Bacon, it is one of the best character studies to come along in a long time.
