Selene is back, along with her guns, her violence and her leather-laced body that looks a lot like Kate Beckinsale. That right there is a huge selling point, along with a completely silly and pointless love scene that shows most of the British beauty - unfortunately, she's stuck in "Underworld: Evolution," a rather aimless sequel with less plot, less originality and less excitement than the original. Underworld definitely did not need a sequel; it was a very bad, pretentious film wanting so badly to be the Matrix of vampire flicks.
The sequel should be called Underworld: DEvolution - the franchise just got even worse. I hope this isn't a trilogy in someone's mind...

August 2, 2005I thought that "Underworld", was an excellent movie. I know they are going to pull out all the stops on "Underworld: Evolution". It is by far the best vampire and werewolf movie I have ever seen with all the cool graphics and effects. So what if they have guns, who want to watch them bite eachother or fight with bare hands thru the whole movie, I'll be one of the first people in line when 'Evolution" comes out.
