May 10, 2005I enjoyed the novel greatly and thought it was well written and one of my faves by Mr. King but the movie was rather poor in my opinion . It surely had it's moments but too many changes from the novel for my liking ... The ending was terrible with the Duddits vs Mr.Grey scene and made me wanna be sick ... my recomendation .. read the book , discard the movie .
You let us down Steve ...
*shakes head*

June 3, 2004I got this "movie" at my local video store as a freebie, thank goodness for that.I could not believe an actor such as Morgan Freeman would have bothered with this pile of shite, what was he thinking??.Mindless boring nonsense. If you enjoy toilet scenes looking at grotesque scenes of the human anatomy ie:blood rotting anus, humans with abnormal bowel movements and excessive gas should tell you the general theme of this movie, one that should have been well and truly flushed down the proverbial toilet.

March 16, 2004The reason Damien Lewis has a british accent is because, shock horror, he's british, people!!! This film didnt do justice to Stephen Kings admittedly medoicre novel, but hey, it was entertaining and the complexities of Kings original ending would have been difficult to achieve on film. This is one of those films you can watch once and think is okay, but wouldn't watch again, purely because we are led to believe from the main body of the film that its going somewhere...and then we are landed with one of the worst endings in film history! Even Kings ending (which took two readings for me to work out what the hell happened) would have been better than this.

March 10, 2004I honestly can't believe that anyone could give this movie a "B". I felt like the first 15 minutes of the movie was really creepy and the mind thing was kind of cool, but every other second of the movie seemed to suck the life out of me. I literally gripped the seat cushions in order to finish the movie. I was finally rewarded at the end by the most shameful performance by Freedman ever, as well as the most retarded final scene i have ever seen. Tell Kasdan: I WANT MY HOUR AND A HALF BACK YOU BIG LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have been getting dental surgery or picking at a scab for the time and it would have been indefinately less painful than watching this movie. SUPER "F-" ... go out and watch a few movies--opinions are relative regarding these things. This shit was horrible. If you want pain rent this today.

December 21, 2003i dont know what movie youre watching, dreamcatcher was an awesome movie, the sfx ruled. i have no idea what youre talking about, the idea of jonsey getting trapped in his own mind is horrifing. and when they go from plotline to plotline, it's perfect, do you think the movie should be put into three parts or something? THAT would have made this a bad movie! this is by far one of the best movies this year and a great book, i do admit the acting was a bit dry at times, but the plot was UNIQUE! well to sum it all up, burn in hell you damn jackals. love, mike
