Movie Review

I'll admit it. I was happy when "Dave Chappelle's Block Party" didn't do so well at theaters. Why? Because for every unsuccessful movie like this, it means that ten more movies like it are never going to be made. No, I'm not racist, I like comedy and I even like Dave Chappelle, but there are certain movies - especially documentary-esque films about comedians or musicians on tour - that just shouldn't waste a big screen. Movies like this could easily go straight to DVD and be just as good, if not better. Full movie review »

The critics raved about this (usually that’s a bad sign in my books). This time around I didn’t care what the critics thought, being a HUGE Chappelle fan I was looking forward to it, plus the trailer looked hilarious.

I never in my wildest dreams ever believed that I would be ejecting a David Chappelle dvd from the machine after 30 minutes!

It's a rap concert for God's sake! Where was the genius of Chappelle? It was nowhere to be found, he just walks around handing out tickets.

I truly believe the critics found this movie to be complete rubbish, but where to spineless to give it the rating it deserved, for fear of being branded racist! Maybe I should have stuck to my winning formula (high rating = rubbish).

The trailers for this travesty, where the most misleading in the entire history of film.
