Movie Review
Grade: B-
The number one movie in America right now is Night at the Museum,
the Ben Stiller comedy where museum figurines come to life at night. The movie
was highly anticipated to be the blockbuster of December, as it is pure mindless
entertainment from beginning to end. Following a series of bad reviews, however,
I was skeptical to set foot in the theater - but I'm glad I did, because Night
at the Museum is an entertaining little comedy that never goes above
and beyond, but, like most Stiller movies, works at a consistent pace.

Night at the Museum, by dab59

Have just seen this movie with my kids and we all enjoyed it. For those looking for serious stuff in a movie, this isn't it! Ben Stiller, in one of the few roles I've seen him in that's credible does real justice to the role of beleagured father and he plays it straight up. The wider cast as whole seems to be having a real ball too, mostly at Stiller's expense. An interesting mix of older and current actors in the main roles. This film seemed to use CGI sparingly which I found refreshing. A relatively simple story line would make this movie easy viewing for even a young audience.
Light entertainment.
