Grade: C+
Director Joel Schumacher is a man of extremes. He is the one behind such great films as The Client and A Time to Kill, and has recently reinvigorated his career with smaller films like Phone Booth and Tigerland. Unfortunately, he is also the man who did Batman & Robin and 8MM. So where does his latest movie, The Number 23, factor in?

The thing about movies are that they don't always go the way the viewers either expect them to end, or would like them to end. The number 23 could have gone many ways, but it ended the way the directer and storywriter decided to end it. It's like life, things don't always go the way you want, but you accept it for what it is. I personally thought that it was a phenominal movie irragerdless of what the movie critic for this movie wrote in the review. It's a psychological thriller in the mild form with gruesome violence at parts, and an attempt at family values at the end. It's not for people expecting to get their minds warped by a movie, but it's the type of movie that'll make you think as you leave the theater.
