Movie Review

Grade: B- John Cusack goes it alone in 1408, a movie where he is pretty much the only one on screen for all but a few minutes at the beginning and end. The result is a surprisingly good but not magnificent adaptation of a Stephen King novella, but when it comes to King adaptations, good ones are hard to come by.

A fine story that goes on too long. John Cusack is an excellent choice for this part. A skeptical arrogant guy who dosen't believe in anything haunted. And proceeds to get the crap scared out of him till almost insanity. Special effects very good. Samuel Jackson does his hardest to talk him out of the infamous room , then never checks to see how he is doing. The clock always running down 60 minutes is riveting. Stephen King I am surprised as your movies don't bid well when made into pictures, but this was relatively delightful.
