Movie Review
Grade: A-
Nominated for 8 Golden Globes, Cold Mountain is almost assured a Best Picture spot at the Oscars, and for good reason. The Civil War movie, which stars Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger, is easily one of the best movies of 2003. Read the full movie review

Traditional a capella music in churches sometimes arrange the congregation in a "square," divided into Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass, with each side facing the middle. They would use "shaped note" hymnals, and beat their arms to the time. There would not be specific song leader and no choir. Everyone sang...and everyone "lead."
