Roman Polanski's Chinatown has evolved from a classic mystery to a landmark film. Screen legend Jack Nicholson breathes life into sharp-tongued private eye Jake Gittes. Gittes is hired by a stunning socialite (Faye Dunaway) to investigate her husband, who she suspects of cheating. But what Gittes thinks is a routine case of adultery quickly deteriorates into a tangle of deceit, corruption and treachery.

Movie Review

Chinatown, the movie that all but put Jack Nicholson on the map, is being re-released on a Special Collector's Edition DVD. This Roman Polanski classic is the type of detective film you rarely see anymore (Ben Affleck's Gone Baby Gone may be the latest, closest example), yet thankfully it still stands up wonderfully even over 30 years later.

This movie is one of the greatest made! The ending is fantastic, and if you don't appreciate it, you are stupid, the suspense is amazing, and the acting is superb! Why Erik didn't give it an A+ is lost on me...
