teacher006 says:
August 17, 2009Let me tell you this is going to be one of the sleepers of 2009. This movie was well written and well directed. I thought I was going to see a chick flick but I was not dragged by my wife because I love sci-fi. I also wanted to compare it to "Somewhere in Time" which starred Christopher Reeve. I loved that movie also and I think this movie is as equally good. Although there are four stars billed, most of the movie is Rachel McAdams as Claire and Eric Bana as Henry and their very strange but romantic love affair. This is Eric Bana's best performance since “Troy” with Brad Pit. He nails his part and keeps you enthralled as to what is going to happen to him next in the movie. Claire's role is actually played by 2 or 3 actresses at different ages of Claire' life. There is a time when she is around 5 years old and little older too. But most of the movie Rachel plays the part and is does it very well.
Sorry guys but the nudity listed in the PG-13 rating is definitely intended to warn the lady's as Eric spends a lot of time with his clothes off. So guys if you want to get titillated go see “The Goods: Live Hard. Sell Hard.” I'll be honest I am strictly an Action Adventure or Comedy movie buff but I loved this movie from beginning to end. “The Time Traveler's Wife” was able to pull off something that very few movies have ever done and that is give you a sad but happy ending both at the same time and no I don't mean there are two endings. I will not spoil the movie for you by telling you what happens so you will just have to go watch it yourself to find out what I'm talking about.
So men, grab your wife or girl friend and go see this movie together, most of you will not be disappointed and will be glad I suggested it and will agree with me as to how wonderful this, should I say it, “Love Story” really is.
