Movie Review

Grade: B- Don't expect action, don't expect drama, and don't expect too much romance because Gattaca doesn't have a large quantity of those categories. It doesn't really have much plot either but Gattaca turns out to be a rather enjoyable film. Basically, the whole movie deals with Vincent's elusion of genetic perfection and what he does to keep the police and his boss from figuring out his true identity. Gatacca is pretty well done with good acting and dialogue, though, after a while, expecting action to pick up, it begins to lag. However, by the time the movie is done, it turns out that those "boring" scenes are not really boring; that's how the movie is. It is a sci-fi mystery, not a sci-fi action flick. Besides the return of his brother (you'll have to see the movie to learn what I'm talking about), which is sort of hoaky, Gattaca gets a good rating in my book. Read the full movie review
