Movie Review
Some movies you go into with low expectations, like Gun Shy. The movie didn't even scratch the box office when it came out at theaters in February, and it received tepid reviews - it sounded like critics would rather drink antifreeze. So going in with this in mind, I was a little prejudiced before it even started. But even so, there has to be a reason why I turned on the display partway through the movie and found to my dismay that I was only 58 minutes in, so dismayed that I turned it off and ripped it out of my VCR. July 2, 2004If I'm grading your opinion of "Gun Shy" then you obviously missed the mark by a wide margin. Let's start with you being disturbed by the watermellon scene. Last week I witnessed an American having his head sawed off by some maniacs in Saudi Arabia. Now, do you really feel so upset by the initial Hollywood scene with the watermellon. You obviously live in a little protected corner of the world. Me, I'm living in Dhahran, a place filled with fear. This movie was just the ticket. Try to be a little more open to humor. Better luck next time.
