Movie Review

Remember the Alamo? You may not want to after seeing this dull depiction of one of America's most historic battles. 2004's The Alamo is perhaps a bit more historical than its John Wayne predecessor, but lacks the charisma and character to pull audiences through its two-hour-plus running time. This movie properly portrayed what happened at the Alamo according to historical accounts. Regardless of what the critics say, no educated American will go to view the movie not knowing what will happen to the soliders at the Alamo. The movie is for entertainment, but should not be expected to wow the audience with thrills, it is better left with the emotions people had at the Alamo and to create a positive portrayal of what happened. See the movie because it is as true to the real story as you can get not because you expect to be surprised at the outcome.

This was a very good movie. If you do not know the history or anything else about the Alamo you should not make any comments about the movie. Although I do not agree about the capture of Davey Crockett, the movie was still entertaining. I have always been interested in the defenders of the Alamo and this movie is no exception. It makes me even more proud of them and proud to be now a Texas. I grew up in Okla and have always been interested in this mission that meant so much to the people of that time and this movie shows the history behind the struggle the people endured. See this movie if you haven't and don't listen to the critics make a decision on your own.
