Movie Review

Grade: B+ Alaska was a true wilderness adventure movie. It featured a beautiful landscape, dangerous obstacles, and a fun story. The polar bear was cute but once again, like so many other movies, there was a downside. Once again, we get a boy and his dog story only this time it is a boy and his sister and a polar bear. Some of the scripting was incredibly bad, the poachers were stupid, and included was a lame little Indian scene where the wise old grandpa tells the kids to "believe in the bear." Still, most of the movie is fairly exciting and realistic and so Alaska gets a fairly good rating from me. Read the full movie review
