Movie Review
Kevin Smith takes his first stab at semi-serious work with Jersey Girl, a Ben Affleck-starring romance-comedy-drama-father-daughter movie. Though die hard fans of Smith's earlier films, which include Mallrats and Chasing Amy will be mightily disappointed that their beloved Silent Bob "sold out," Jersey Girl is a surprisingly heartwarming and entertaining movie. And those worried about the presence of Jennifer Lopez need not worry - she dies within the first few minutes of the film. Full movie review »

April 13, 2004I really didn't know what to expect when I went to see the movie, but it was a great chick flick! Okay overall plot. There were lots of times for chicks to cry, so bring tissues! There were lots of cameos, so look out for the celebrities!

March 27, 2004Jersey Girl a hilarious, heartfelt movie that only Kevin Smith could have pulled off wonderfully. The casting was perfect; They couldn't have chosen better actors for these parts. The character development was a little lacking and it was a somewhat sappy at times but it caused a theatre to laugh out loud numerous times and some tearing up. I suspect we will be seeing a lot more if Raquel Casto, as she was particularly good. All in all, I found this to be a very well rounded movie.

March 7, 2004It looks like its going to be a cute movie. I don't think J-Lo is in a lot of it, thank God. Besides, Kevin Smith is the man.
