June 21, 2004I'm a fan of Tarentinos', and ever since Pulp Fiction I've been waiting for another dose of his truly unique style; Kill Bill Vol.1 is that dose and so much more. The mix of genres, the varied styles of musical scores that seem to have been cast just as geniusly as the characters, the over the top violence and gore, and Quentin Tarentino usuals to boot; the unusual but effective use of dialogue, the extreme violence in everyday scenarios, etc . . .
To put the film in one sentence, every popular genre of the late 60s early 70s poured into one steamingly hot cauldron and pulped into entertainment at it's best and purest form. A prime example of why cinema was invented!
