Movie Review
The Life of David Gale was once set for a December release, perhaps looking for Oscar awareness. That plan was dropped, however, and instead was released a few months later - this is never a good sign. Critic reviews were not kind, and the movie was gone rather quickly. This is one of those movies where the critics know not what they say. Full movie review »

October 28, 2003This movie was awesome and Kevin Spacey was a good choice for this role he is an excellent actor. . .It left you on the edge of your seat. You think you know something might happen and then something else completely different throws you right off again. . .I give this a B of course for the ending. . .It made me think differently on how she got the last tape when everything was said and done on the news

August 22, 2003I was hooked from the beginning until the last act. Kevin Spacey was fantastic as David Gale. He made him believeable. There were surprisingly some disturbing images (like that video tape...brrr). My problem is the ending. It could have gone on a more sophisticated side, but takes the easy twist instead. Some will find it surprising, but for me, it's a disappointment. A solid "B."
