It's not perfect, but compared to any other attempts to restore the Termite Terrace mayhem, this has come the closest by far. I like how this movie manages to incorporate all of the classic director's styles and/or trademarks: The Louvre scene, Wile E. Coyote's part, the opening Duck Season / Rabbit Season scene (in fact, the entire Bugs & Daffy rivalry) all comes from Chuck Jones. Heather Locklear's Dusty Tails character is an obvious homage to Tex Avery's Red Hot Riding Hood. Hell, the entire Las Vegas sequence is as brutally violent as any of the best cartoons by Friz Freleng or Robert McKimson. The idea of Brandan and Daffy on the road is reminiscent of the Bob Hope / Bing Crosby road movies that Frank Tashlin created. And, of course, the sudden twist ending and indeed the seemingly incongruent story structure comes from the master of cerebral pandemonium, Mr. Bob Clampett. But, along wiht all that, the movie managed to incorporate references to major franchises that the Looney Tunes have inspired: James Bond, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. Unfortunately, one has to know all that before entering the theatre. I think they should have handed out a pamphlet containing a brief but informative overview of the entire Loonry Tunes legacy to everyone going into the theatre. Then there wouldn't be as many people lost and writing ignorant reviews of it anywhere.
