Updating My Email Address

How do I update my email address?

  • Your old email address (your FilmJabber account email address)
  • Your new email address
  • Your date of birth

Preferrably, please contact us using your old email address.

Contests

What are the contest rules?

The rules are simple for entering contests:

  1. Residents of the U.S. and Canada are eligible to enter contests and giveaways. Some contests are only open to U.S. addresses and will be marked as such.
  2. One entry per person per contest. If you enter more than once, it will not be counted.
  3. If you register multiple accounts, none of your entries will be accepted, or, if we deem necessary, you will be blocked from the site.
  4. We are not responsible for prizes lost in the mail.

If I win, how will I find out?

If you win, your name will appear on the contest entry page. You can view finished contests by clicking here. Please allow two (2) weeks from the end of the contest for winners to be selected. We will not contact you directly to inform you that you've won.

Do I need to do anything after I've won?

No. All you need to do is enter the contest. If you win, no further action is necessary on your part to claim your prize.

If I win, how long will it take for me to receive my prize?

Please allow 6-8 weeks from the time the winners are selected to receive your prize. Most prizes are sent out directly from movie studios and media partners, and we do not have control over time lines. On occasion, it can take up to three months to receive your prize.

What happens if I don't receive my prize?

FilmJabber is not responsible for prizes lost in the mail. We often don't mail out the prizes ourselves, and do not have a ready inventory of additional items available. That being said, please contact us if several months have passed and you have not received your prize; we will look into sending you something, or will inform our partners that your prize was not delivered.

How do I update my mailing address? (or I am trying to enter a contest, but it says I need to add my address)

To add a mailing address to your account, please log in and then click here. You can also access this link from your "My Account" page.

Why do I need to provide my phone number?

Certain mail carriers, like FedEx, require a phone number. We won't call you or sell your number - we promise.

Miscellaneous/Other Questions

1. I want to know what songs are played in a certain movie. How do I find out what they are called?

We are movie buffs; not music experts. We do not know what songs are played in what movies, but you can find soundtrack information at Amazon.com or iTunes.

2. Can you help me contact celebrities or other people in the movie industry?

No. We have no affiliation with Hollywood or any part of the movie-making industry. We do not have celebrity phone numbers, emails or addresses. We also cannot help you get your ideas and screenplays across to studios or directors. While we wish you the best of luck, if you're asking us, it probably means you have very little chance of ever getting your screenplay into the open. Yes, we can be brutally honest.

3. How come I can't find the movie I'm looking for?

We focus on movies between 1995 and present time, and any major movie released between 1998 and the present should be available by browsing. Please note that we focus on mainstream, wide release movies; limited release and independent films are less likely to be available in our database. If you feel that a movie should be listed but isn't appearing, please contact us.

4. Where can I find movie times at my local theaters?

Please click here and enter your zip code.

5. How can I buy the movies shown on this site?

We use a very reliable DVD and CD provider, Amazon.com. You may have heard of them. There are links on every page to Amazon.com that will help upisearch for a specific title. Please note that movies currently in theaters most likely will not be available for purchase or preorder.

Buying movies through FilmJabber helps support our continued devolpment of the website while providing you a safe and secure place to shop.

6. What if I have a complaint about a purchased movie or other merchandise?

We are not related with sales or product complaints; please direct your inquiry to the Amazon.com Help Desk, which is accessible from their main page.

7. How come I click on the "View Trailer" button but when it takes me to another page, there is no trailer?

We do not carry trailers on our servers, which means that we link to outside sources to provide you with content. Usually these sources are very reliable, but occassionally a link becomes broken. Please report this error to us.

8. How come there is no trailer link on some of the movie pages, especially older movies?

Due to the fact that we link to outside sources to provide us with media content, we remove links to trailers after the movie has been on DVD for a year. This helps us avoid many broken links and unhappy customers. If you still want to find the trailer for a specific film, please contact us or go to our links page; there are plenty of good websites out there that specialize in movie trailers.

9. How can I help support this site?

FilmJabber is always looking for new ways to improve. If you wish to donate money or anything that would help us or this site, please contact me for a mailing address. Also, any tips on movie photos or other information is greatly appreciated.

10. How come your reviews have so many typos?

I'm just too lazy to reread my reviews. I'm sure there are plenty of mistakes, but I just don't have time to edit everything. I am actually a good speller and writer, so read the reviews for the sake of reading, not picking apart on a grammatical basis.
