13 Movies to See in 2013 – And 13 More

Broken City

In this political thriller, Mark Wahlberg plays a private investigator hired by a big-city mayor (Russell Crowe) to find out if his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is having an affair. What Marky Mark uncovers is a much more disturbing scandal.

The Last Stand

Arnold Schwarzenneger plays a small town cop who must stop a drug kingpin from crossing into Mexico. The Last Stand may be stupid, it may not even be good, but it sure is fun to see Arnold starring in cheesy action movies again.

Identity Thief

Jason Bateman plays Sandy, whose identity is stolen by ethically challenged Melissa McCarthy. Comedic antics ensue.

Side Effects

Channing Tatum continues his partnership with Steven Soderbergh with the director’s latest film, an erotic crime thriller that also stars Rooney Mara, Jude Law and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible, terrible movie, but with a new director (James Mangold, 3:10 to Yuma) and a new setting (Japan), this latest take on our furry friend – still played by Hugh Jackman – will hopefully serve as a much-needed rebound.
