15. The Girl on the Train – October 7

Based on the popular Paula Hawkins novel, about a woman (Emily Blunt) who becomes obsessed with a seemingly perfect-looking couple (who presumably isn’t), this thriller apparently warrants comparisons to Gone Girl—and that’s enough to have me intrigued.

14. Passengers – December 21

Two of today’s biggest stars—Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence—on screen together? Yes, please. Oh, and there’s a sex scene? Intriguing. In this sci-fi thriller, Pratt and Lawrence play two individuals who, while on a 60-year space flight, are awoken early from their sleep chambers. Hopefully they get along.

13. Triple 9 – February 26

Just when you think every movie is getting Disney-fied, along comes Triple 9, a ruthlessly violent heist film about a gang of criminals who are willing to do anything—including murdering cops and anyone else who gets in their way—to pull off a robbery. Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Aaron Paul, Norman Reedus, Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot and Kate Winslet make up the all-star cast.

12. The Cellar (Valencia) – March 11

I love the concept of this movie: a young woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wakes up in the basement of a man (John Goodman) who claims that a chemical attack has made the outside world uninhabitable. Is he telling the truth, or is he just some creepy dude who has kidnapped Mary Elizabeth Winstead? Both possibilities sound entertaining.

11. Finding Dory – June 17

While one could argue that making a sequel to Finding Nemo has a few issues—most notably, Finding Nemo is perfect as a standalone story—Disney-Pixar has proven that it can make high quality sequels. How this one compares, we’ll find out in June.
