MOVIE REVIEW
Lloyd Bridges' (Hotshots) last movie leaves little to be desired for. His role in Hotshots was extended into Mafia!, a clumsy, idiotic man incapable of doing the smallest of tasks. In Hotshots, his character was perfect; in Mafia!, the screenwriters carried idiocy one step too far. Mafia!, in pieces, was funny, playing off different mob movies, especially, of course, The Godfather. Together, like a puzzle, it's a clutter of random, slapstick events that hold no meaning to the incredibly meager plot. Acting wasn't a shame but the movie itself was. The funny parts were comical but no where as hilarious as, say, Hotshots. Mafia! needed to be organized before it came to the big screen. Full movie review »
