MOVIE REVIEW
Sometimes a movie comes along that isn't bad but it just does not have one single thing to offer. The likes of which are found in The Mod Squad, a recreation of a television show that is before my time, and I presume, since the show did spawn a movie, that it was decent. The movie is not. We are presented with three losers as the main characters, the worst of all played by Giovanni Ribisi. He is a talented actor, as seen in Saving Private Ryan, but resorting back to teenager-hood is not a good move. He acts bummed out the entire movie; his voice does not fluctuate in the least. Next comes Omar Epps, who is not portrayed as a loser but still is considered a loser in the movie. He's about as good as it gets in this movie, as he handles most of the almost non-existent action. Third and last comes Claire Danes, who, though an exceptional actress, has nothing to show but looks. Full movie review »
