Mark Wahlberg, of Three Kings and The Perfect Storm fame, goes for the smaller film in The Yards, a movie that has a cast that is much larger than its potential. Besides Wahlberg, who is one of the best up and coming actors, the other key characters are played by Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator), Charlize Theron (The Cider House Rules), and James Caan (The Godfather).
