A film crew sets out on the Amazon, looking for a mythical tribe. Not far into their trip they encounter a stranded snake hunter and take him as a guide. However, his intentions on getting them to their destination is misleading; he is really taking them into the heart of anaconda country. They soon encounter a viscous anaconda, large in size, and it follows them along the river, waiting for the right time to pounce. However, the surviving film crew must always look out for the hunter who has no need for their lives... except as bait.
