Bloodsucking Bastards, the opening night film of the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival, takes audiences on a hilarious, blood-spattered roller coaster ride in the most terrifying locale of all: the American workplace. Evan Sanders (Fran Kranz) is a low-level employee stuck in a boring job at a soul-killing corporation, but working hard to land a promotion. Unfortunately, the boss (Joel Murray, God Bless America) gives the job to Evan's nemesis, Max (Pedro Pascal, "Game of Thrones"). Soon, the office workers start going through disturbing changes (which, paradoxically, make them better employees), and Evan learns the horrible truth: Max is a vampire. As the bodies begin to pile up, Max, along with his girlfriend, slacker best pal, and an office security guard, have no choice but to fulfill many a worker bee’s dream: to kill their evil boss.

Bloodsucking Bastards is a movie you’ll like if you like movies titled Bloodsucking Bastards. Starring that neurotic dude from Cabin in the Woods and about a couple office workers who realize that their colleagues are being turned into vampires by their new corporate overlords, the movie is a mindlessly entertaining and cheaply gory comedy-thriller that is exactly what the filmmakers intended it to be.
