A playwright on the verge of getting married is forced to deal with her eccentric mother, especially after her three friends, who make up the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood" "kidnap" her and take her back to their hometown. Through them, she learns why she has had so many difficulties with her mother over the years.

MOVIE REVIEW

I am not a woman. I am not gay. Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood is not a movie I would typically go to, especially when I have yet to see such fare as The Sum of All Fears. But when all is said and done, I found this mostly women-oriented film fairly entertaining.
