An autistic, 9 year-old boy uncovers a hidden code in a puzzle that is supposed to be unbreakable. He calls up the number uncovered and is immediately traced by the computers on the other end.

The next day, his parents are murdered, and FBI Agent Art Jeffries takes the case. In what seemed like a random killing, he discovers a larger conspiracy, and the only chance of solving the mystery is to keep the boy alive. Unfortunately, the conspirators, headed by the high-ranking NSA Lt. Nicholas Kudrow, will stop at nothing to see the boy killed. In protecting the boy, Jeffries finds himself at blame, running from both the FBI and the killers. Who will survive? Based on the novel, "Simple Simon."

MOVIE REVIEW

Mercury Rising is original, suspenseful, and thrilling. The combination of well-known actors like Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, and even Miko Hughes is great! There's lots of action and not much swearing. The only downside is the basis of the plot is the same as many other movies: An FBI guy goes against the rules so he's a fugitive the whole movie. Oh, and Alec Baldwin, despite being the main bad-guy, does not have much of part. Nevertheless, Mercury Rising is a great suspense thriller!
