Ronin Movie Synopsis & Plot

They once fought for a nation, now for the highest bidder. They were warriors in the Cold War but now they have nowhere to go. And they have just been brought together to work a simple mission that isn't really that simple.

Sam is the name of the ex-CIA agent that's capable of dealing with every situation. Along with him are five others, Vincent, a French operative who can retrieve anything worth retrieving, Larry, the driver, Spence, the weapons specialist, Gregor, the electronics specialist, and Deirdre, the mysterious woman who has hired them. Together, they will journey down a path of twists, turns, and double-crosses.

Their job is to recover a case that is being protected by several trained killers. The key to retrieving the case is by annihalating the three escort cars and kill and survivors. Simple. Until one of their own decides to sell it on his own.

And then there's Seamus, a man who will do anything to retrieve his case from whoever is holding it. Or the Russian, who would rather see his girlfriend dead than lose money over the case. Or Deidre, who may or may not be Sam's greatest ally. Either way, all are about to collide and only one will come out breathing.

MOVIE REVIEW

There is little to be said about action thrillers these days: "The bad guy dies, the hero walks out untarnished, but only after a series of unbelievable yet stupendous action sequences." This holds true in Ronin no less than any other movie, it just presents itself in a different matter. To most easily describe this movie, the movie Mission: Impossible is the best example. Mission: Impossible was an action movie with a plot, a strange, twisted plot in that, where all common sense was lost and by the end, nothing was what it had been in the beginning. Enter Ronin.
