A small Vermont town is turned upside down when a movie is shot there. The movie's star seduces a high school girl, and the screenwriter sees it, forcing him to make a decision on what to do.

There are always a few comedies each year that are extremely good but completely overlooked. Last year, it was Election.This year, it is State and Main, an extremely entertaining movie about a Hollywood production in a small town and the troubles that go along with it.
