Texas Rangers Movie Synopsis & Plot
Texas, 1875. In a land without justice, where chaos reigns, one legendary man, Leander McNelly (Dylan McDermott), is chosen to lead a group of unlikely heroes (James Van Der Beek, Usher Raymond, Randy Travis, Ashton Kutcher and Robert Patrick). These young men, out-manned and out-gunned, must battle an army of renegade outlaws led by the ruthless John King Fisher (Alfred Molina). Sworn to protect the innocent and the women they love (Rachael Leigh Cook, Leonar Varela), the Rangers risk their lives to put the wrong things right in their beloved homeland. All men need freedom. The Texas Rangers are willing to die for it.
An epic adventure of love and courage in a rugged land, Texas Rangers revives the great tradition of the pure American Western.
MOVIE REVIEW
Most studio executives have realized that western action movies are no longer the popular thing they once were, but obviously not all of them. Granted 2001's other western movie, American Outlaws, was a little better than expected - but still nothing to scream about - what did they expect from Texas Rangers? Well, hopefully they foresaw the same thing that I did, a long-delayed, poorly-written, bad-acted, and non-exciting flop that wasn't even released in over a 1000 theaters nationwide.Read our Texas Rangers movie review »
