The Frighteners Movie Synopsis & Plot

Frank Bannister never expected anyone to take his business seriously, or believe him. He runs a "spirit clearance" business, using his two best friends, which just happen to be ghosts, as his associates. They pretend to be a poltergeist, he "rids" the house they are haunting of them, and gets paid. It doesn't matter if everyone thinks he's a looney bin or a crook.

Until now. Someone, or something, is preying on the innocent, and only Frank can see him. The entity is seemingly invincible and unstoppable; once he has marked his prey, there is nothing that can be done. And only Frank can see the mark- the warning sign- that someone is about to fall victim to this evil killer: A number stating their death compared to previous victims. A line of numbers that has continued from 12, the precise amount of people that were brutally murdered by a psychopath killer thirty years prior.

Frank has just realized that the killer has returned to continue his spree and the only way that he can stop him is by killing himself.
