The Living Daylights Movie Synopsis & Plot
On a routine training mission, one of the '00's, Britain's best force of secret agents, is murdered.
Later, James Bond heads to Russia where he will orchestrate the defection of a top Soviet general. His orders are clear: Kill anyone that stands in his way. While attempting to escape, the General falls into the sight of an assassin: a woman. Bond immediately recognizes her as the cello player in the symphony, and realizes that she is not a professional. Something is not right with the situation, but he fires on her anyway, but purposely misses.
The General is evacuated from Russia, but Bond is still not satisfied with the mission. There was something wrong before. So, he follows the cello player and learns what he already knows: the KGB are involved. Now, setting out with the beautiful cello player, Bond must take down his adversaries, a corrupt American general and the Russian General that he just saved.
MOVIE REVIEW
The Living Daylights is Timothy Dalton's first James Bond movie, and it is quite different than the others. Dalton is more serious, the story is more serious, and the plot is a little more realistic than some. The plot is pretty straightforward, although at some parts it was hard to follow who was good and who was bad. Even the opening sequence was hard to follow.Read our Living Daylights, The movie review »
