A bounty hunter travels to an isolated town in called Helldorado in the Amazon jungle, searching for a dangerous criminal, but what he finds instead is a gold hunter searching for treasure. They team up, but the town's kingpin has no plans of allowing them to get away with the gold.

It received good reviews, did well at the box office, but is The Rundown worth the ride? The Rock stars in his second big film after the surprisingly entertaining The Scorpion King.
