The World is Not Enough - Movie Synopsis & Plot

In the Caspian Sea exists the future of the world. There, six trillion dollars worth of oil resides, and four companies are about to battle for the black money.

Among them, no one was as close as Sir Robert King, head of King Industries - Until an explosion in the M16 building left King dead and the company in shambles.

But the fight still wages. His daughter, Elektra King, is after the oil. And yet her path is not clear. Renard, the terrorist most likely responsible for the death of her father, and for an attempted kidnapping of Elektra herself, is going after five million dollars he claims is his, and will do anything to get it.

But Elektra is not without protection. Britain has sent their best man to investigate the bombing... His name's Bond. James Bond.

MOVIE REVIEW

Even though the United Artists logo has left the James Bond franchise, the same action and adventure has not. The World is Not Enough, the 19th official Bond film, is a worthy competitor to any of its predecessors. Pierce Brosnan reprises his role as Bond, and he continues to get better in the role. I thought he was good in Goldeneye (his first Bond film), but he's been better in both the following two). Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty) is Renard, a bad guy who cannot feel pain. And the Bond girls are Sophie Marceau as Elektra King and Denise Richards as the most attractive nuclear scientist ever, Christmas Jones.
