Chris Rock plays Andre Allen, a successful comedian and movie star whose work was recently ravaged by a New York Times critic. His fiancée (Gabrielle Union) wants him to help her with her reality show while his agent (Kevin Hart) just wants him to make his next blockbuster. Instead, he teams with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) to make a serious documentary about the Haitian revolution.
