Virtuosity Movie Synopsis & Plot
In the year 2000, the Law Enforcement Technology Advancement Centre (LETAC) has developed a new way to train officers of the law. That new way is Sid 6.7, a Sadistic, Intelligent, and Dangerous virtual reality entity composed of 150 real-life killers. In reality, he doesn't exist... at least, not until now.
Fearing the deletion of the Sid 6.7 program after an unfortunate incident, the creator of the system brings Sid to life in the form of an android. There is no remorse or feeling in Sid 6.7 and when he escapes, there is only one man that can bring him in.
Parker Barnes is an ex-cop who was sent to prison after accidentally shooting an innocent bystander. He has been one of the test subjects for LETAC and is the only man that has even come close to stopping Sid. But that was in virtual reality. Now, Barnes must face him in real-life, using his knowledge of Sid to track him down. But Barnes is about to realize that, out of the 150 killers existing inside Sid's mind, Sid has chosen a specific serial killer to surface... the same serial killer responsible for the death of his wife and child.
MOVIE REVIEW
Virtuosity is not the greatest movie around in terms of acting or dialogue but it is fun to watch. Whether there have been similar movies or not, Virtuosity is explosive when it comes to action and an awesome story. The plot itself wasn't sophisticated, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. There are a plethora of sudden turns in the story and, by the end, it will be hard to tell whether the movie is taking place in reality or virtual reality. Because of this, it makes the ending much more interesting.Read our Virtuosity movie review »
