In a place where anything can happen... it will. Los Angeles. No longer is it home to just earthquakes. It is a volcano. Los Angeles is quickly turned from a city of hope to city of rubble as earthquakes, lava, and cinder cones destroy buildings and homes. As casualties rise, the people realize that the volcano is about to erupt and everything they have experienced so far was nothing. The City of Angels is about to burn.

MOVIE REVIEW

Hell, it was fun seeing LA get destroyed by lava. The first quarter of the movie, where the La Brea tar pits erupt, was great! Then came the rest. Though graphics and acting were fairly good, the movie really died off after Tommy Lee Jones escaped the initial eruption scene. The ending, instead of trying to escape an eruption, Jones is running from a building which the police bombed to reroute the lava into the ocean. It was very disappointing. But what was even more disappointing was the fact that LA was spared; if it had been destroyed, this movie would have been much better. If you want to see a good volcano movie, see Dante's Peak.
