MOVIE REVIEW

I have to admit it. Going into Lethal Weapon 4, I had not seen any of the previous movies. Following the movie, I quickly rented Lethal Weapon 3 (Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2 were rented out) but it did not change my opinion in the least. Lethal Weapon 4 was a hilarious, action-packed thriller with some of the hottest stars of today. Even though I was going to say that anyway, comparing it to it's prequel, Lethal Weapon 4 is funnier, more action-packed, and has a much better story. Jet Li is explosively great, his martial art skills extraordinary, his ability to be evil excellent. Though Mel Gibson gets the lead role, of course, Danny Glover is great. Rene Russo definitely got a larger role in LW3 and she probably deserved more, though she couldn't do much with a baby in her womb (in the movie). The swearing is overused in parts but most of the time, adds to the comedy. Anyone who likes action movies will love Lethal Weapon 4! Full movie review »
