A state judge has declared a new war on drugs, but what he doesn't know is that his daughter is addicted to crack cocaine, and she was introduced to that by her boyfriend. Furthermore, down in Mexico, a state policeman is searching for the leader of a drug cartel, and in Arizona, a wife has taken control of her husband's drug business.

In March, director Steven Soderbergh presented the surprisingly excellent drama comedy Erin Brockovich, which has high hopes for Oscar gold in the Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress categories. Who knew that in the same year Soderbergh would release a second drama that has even better chances for earning awards.
